Bordeaux Château Yoga Retreat
with Scott Moore June 13–19, 2020
A Week of Yoga and Meditation, Luxury Accommodations, and Exquisite Vineyards.
Join me for an unforgettable, luxury yoga retreat at Châteaux de Bardouly located in the lush, rolling vineyards of the Bordeaux region in south western France.
I look forward to gathering together and connecting body, mind, and spirit as we practice savoring this exquisite life through presence.
I’ve taken care of all the details, big and small, so you can relax, enjoy yourself, and have an experience that you’ll remember for the rest of your life.
We’ll meet at the Bordeaux-Mérignac airport on Saturday, June 13th, 2020. From there, our private transport will drive us through the region’s idyllic vineyards. We will arrive at the immaculately-restored Château de Bardouly where we will be warmly greeted with refreshing champagne or cucumber-mint water.
Then, for six glorious days we’ll enjoy:
All-levels yoga, Yoga Nidra, and meditation taught by me, an expert yoga and meditation teacher
3-course plated meals by our private French chef
Excursions to world-renowned vineyard estates
In-house wine tasting with a sommelier
Outdoor markets at nearby hamlets
Hiking and exploring
Relaxing by the pool
Our private transport will take us back to the airport on the morning of June 19th. By the end our six days together, you’ll feel invigorated, alive, nourished, and ready to savor the rest of your life!
My intention for this retreat is to awaken body, mind, and spirit in this breath-taking environment as we practice opening our awareness to our senses by living in the moment and savoring life. This retreat will remind you to pause and practice loving your life.
Whatever your ability or experience with yoga and meditation you’re welcome to this retreat! Together, we’ll explore movement, breath, and meditation through vinyasa yoga, restore yoga, Yoga Nidra, mindfulness meditation, and breath work. We will drink in the ripe and abundant nature of the region and breathe in each moment of this bouquet of life.

I’ve been teaching yoga and mindfulness as a career for 16 years. I have led and co-led dozens of trainings and retreats both in the U.S. and abroad. More than rigidly following a particular style of yoga, my teaching focuses on your needs and circumstances, whether that be safe but invigorating alignment-based vinyasa, relaxing Restore Yoga, or nurturing Yoga Nidra. My primary influences and teachers include Schuyler Grant, Rod Stryker, Judith Lasater, Simon Park, and Dr. Richard Miller. I’m interested in helping you feel your best through yoga and meditation as you unfold to your true potential and being.
Château de Bardouly is a restored work of art with many stories to tell. Bardouly’s history dates back to 1580 when Henry IV ceded the land to the Gastebois family. For nearly 400 years this châteaux has remained with this family and has housed royalty, dignitaries, and even served as a hideout for allied forces during WWII. Artisans who designed parts of Versailles also built parts of Château de Bardouly. Bardouly’s current owners purchased it in 1999 and used local artisans to restore it to its deserved splendor. Many of the elements of the château are original.
Each room is stunningly beautiful and comfortable. You’ll love the high thread-count Egyptian cotton linens, wireless speaker, armoire, chest of drawers, writing desk and comfy chairs for reading.

A Prélude in Paris: June 10–12
I speak fluent French, have visited Paris several times, and would be thrilled to share a little of my love of Paris with you. For those who are interested, I’m offering a three-day pre-treat, June 10–12, where I’ll be personally leading walking tours of my favorite haunts of Paris. You can take a short flight or train ride to Bordeaux on the 13th.
You’ll love the storybook neighborhoods, the quaint cafés and bistros, and the world-famous museums and sites. I can’t wait for you to bite into the best baguette in Paris, thumb books at the bookstore where Earnest Hemingway, James Joyce, and Gertrude Stein used to visit, and explore the streets built by the Knights Templar.
We can even do some yoga in the inimitable Tuileries Gardens.
These few days are outside of the tuition of the retreat but could act as a marvelous prelude for anybody who would interested in falling in love with one of the most beautiful cities in the world. You’ll be responsible for your own food and lodgings and entrance into museums, but for a reasonable price I’ll create a daily schedule and tour that serve as a wonderful addition to anyone interested in a personal tour to Paris. This will be a wonderful prélude to an already incredible retreat. I’d love nothing more than to personally guide you through one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
You’ll experience three amazing walking tours:
Day 1: Île de la Cité (Notre Dame and St. Chapelle), Île St.-Louis, and Le Marais, including the Picasso Museum, Victor Hugo’s house, the bastille, and the Pompidou, Paris’ famous modern art museum. If we still have energy at the end of the day, we’ll relax with drinks and music at one of Paris’ coolest jazz caves.
Day 2: The left bank, the Latin District, Luxembourg Gardens, famous cafés and literary haunts, The Eiffel Tower, and the tour de force which is the Musée d’Orsay (Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, etc. ).
Day 3: The Louvre, l‘Avenue de Champs-Élysées, the best most chic café in Paris, and Monet’s undisputed masterpiece, Water Lilies.
You can easily take a flight or train to Bordeaux from Paris. Both cost almost the same. There’s easy shuttles from the Bordeaux train station to the Bordeaux airport.
Price for the Prélude in Paris: $200
