Going nowhere . . . isn’t about turning your back on the world; it’s about stepping away now and then so that you can see the world more clearly and love it more deeply.

Intention

HuggerMuggerPY_524.jpg

Our busy lives often keep us from taking the time to be with ourselves in a very nourishing, gentle way so that we might deeply rest and see clearly how we might engage in our lives more skillfully and lovingly. Our intention for this retreat is to offer each participant a supportive environment in which to safely experience extended periods of silence and mindfulness practice.  We will follow a more traditional retreat schedule of alternating sitting and walking meditation. In addition, we will offer restorative yoga, body scan, and yoga nidra sessions throughout the weekend.  We will offer some guidance throughout as well as readings from our teachers to support our  practice together.  Silence will be strictly (and lovingly) maintained throughout the retreat.

About Your Instructors

Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness Meditation

It is our honor to be your hosts for this weekend retreat.  This offering is inspired by our own practice as well as the years of offering classes, workshops, and retreats dedicated to the cultivation of mindfulness.  We are grateful to our teachers and mentors from whom we've learned and are dedicated to passing on this richness in as gentle and skillful a way as possible.  Our connection to one another as human beings and friends walking through this life together is profound and helps us to teach together in a way that is clear, comfortable, and dynamic.  We feel confident that this connection will help us to hold this container of silence and practice for all of you in a way that feels safe.
