Join Kim Dastrup and Scott Moore  for an unforgettable yoga retreat along the Burren in County Clare, Ireland. The Burren is one of Ireland’s most intriguing, beautiful, and magical landscapes, one of Irelands six National Parks.

The retreat will be held at Burren Yoga Retreat Center, a beautifully built retreat center and hotel built on the Burren, built to accommodate around 15 guests.

County Clare is also home to the famous and breathtaking Cliffs of Moher as well as Doolin, a hub for Irish music.

For 6 days, you'll enjoy:

Intention

Our intention for this retreat is transport you body, mind, and spirit to a the magical realm of dramatic Irish landscapes, joyous music, and poetry as you enter the Burren.

This will be a yoga retreat of a lifetime. Our hope is that you will deepen your practice, discover the world, and treat yourself, returning back home to offer the best, most restored version of yourself to you family, job, and community!

 

Details

June 15–21, 2024

We’ve got all the details covered. On the day of the retreat, we’ll meet you at the airport and for the next 6 days, enjoy Ireland like never before.

 

Tuition includes:

  • Daily all-levels yoga and meditation

  • Comfortable accommodations

  • Two meals daily

  • Presentation of poetry and sacred wells

  • Musical presentations and/or going to listen to local music in the pubs

  • Scheduled downtime for relaxation, journaling, walking and optional massage

  • Hiking the Burren

Other activities may include:

  • Horseback riding

  • Massage

  • Cooking class

  • Optional second excursion and/or wine tasting

Scott Moore has been teaching yoga since 2003. He is the author of two books: Practical Yoga Nidra: and 5-Minute Manifesting Journal. He’s also written for or been featured in many publications as well as and his own blog at scottmooreyoga.com. His online Yoga Nidra teacher training is rated among the top 5 online Yoga Nidra teacher trainings in the world. Scott was a professor at Westminster College for 9 years teaching Yoga for Wellness. Scott teaches trainings and retreats in the US, Europe, and Asia and is currently living in Southern France.

Kim Dastrup has been a prominent yoga instructor in Salt Lake City since 2003. She teaches a style of yoga true to the tradition and spirit of an ancient and sacred practice. Her classes are suffused with intelligence, creativity, and compassion derived from her years of teaching and extensive training with some of the greatest teachers across the country. Kim teaches Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). She loves to weave poetry into her teaching to add to the richness of spirit of the practice.

 

Accommodations

Each en-suite bedroom is very spacious, very bright with a large triple glazed window, super insulated so they are warm in Winter and cool in Summer, underfloor heating, and excellent sound proofing. 

They also have an air ventilation system which continually brings in warm freshly oxygenated air.

The beds are all extremely comfortable, with hotel quality mattresses, Egyptian cotton bedlinen with high thread count and a choice of a firmer pillow and a softer one.

Each bedroom has a small writing desk, a comfortable upholstered armchair, hair dryer, bedside reading light, electrically controlled black out blinds, a bedside locker, bedside usb charger, and ample storage shelves and a rail to hang your clothes or coats.

Each room has heated towel rails and a spacious showers with plenty of hot water.

  • Super king sized double bedroom

  • Triple bedrooms

 

Yoga

Yoga will be geared to all-levels and will be a mix of active, therapeutic, restore, and meditation, guided by two experts. We will greet the sun in a gentle morning movement and meditation class, become invigorated with a flowing yoga class in the morning, and wind down with a gentle yoga class in the evening.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

Please note that $500 of your tuition is non-refundable. You may cancel and receive a tuition refund (without your non-refundable deposit) prior to March 15, 2024. You may also sell or give your spot to someone else in the event that you cannot come. If we have a waitlist, we can help you find someone else who may want your spot, however it is not guaranteed. Full tuition is due March 15, 2024.
