Why I Built the 40-Hour Yoga Nidra Teacher Training

The Pattern That Broke My Heart

best yoga nidra teacher training

I've been teaching Yoga Nidra teacher training for almost 20 years, and I've watched the same thing happen enough times that I finally had to do something about it.

A cohort graduates. They're lit up, genuinely. They walk out of training 100% certain they're going to share this practice with the world, that they're going to change lives. And they mean it. Every single one of them.

Six months later, most of them have disappeared. No longer teaching Yoga Nidra.

This isn't a story about people who lost interest. It's a story about people who were never given what they actually needed.

Why Yoga Nidra Teachers Disappear

The problem isn't passion. Teachers who complete a Yoga Nidra training almost always believe deeply in the work. The problem is confidence and the concrete, practical skills that build it.

What I kept watching: teachers offering free sessions for friends, hoping someone would eventually pay. The brave ones were tacking Yoga Nidra onto the end of their regular yoga classes. Those who did charge were undercharging chronically, painfully because nobody had helped them understand that their work had real value and that asking to be paid for it was not something to be ashamed of.

And eventually, with a kind of resigned grief, they'd let the work fade.

That's a travesty. Not just for the teachers, but for everyone who needed this practice and never received it. Because if a teacher isn't getting paid what they're worth, the people who need Yoga Nidra simply don't get it.

So I built something different.

What the 40-Hour Yoga Nidra Teacher Training Is

The 40-Hour Live Yoga Nidra Teacher Training is the training I've spent the last few years building because of what I kept watching happen. It isn't the 30-hour version I used to teach. It's something more complete designed to send teachers out into the world with not just the practice, but the livelihood.

The Full System, Taught at Depth

This training covers the complete Yoga Nidra system: philosophy, neuroscience, psychology, and trauma-informed practice. There are five new modules that I never had the room to teach in the 30-hour version. If you've trained with me before, you'll notice the difference immediately.

Building a Real Livelihood from This Work

This is what's missing from almost every Yoga Nidra training on the market: an entire section dedicated to helping you actually build a life around teaching this practice.

We go deep on the Windmill Framework—your spirit driving the mechanism of your business. We talk about pricing with integrity: what to charge, how to charge it, and how to ask for it without apologizing. We talk about moving from a transactional relationship with your work to a transformational one. Nobody else teaches this inside a Yoga Nidra training. I built it here because it belongs here.

Certification Completed Inside the Training

No homework you'll never finish. No post-training requirements that quietly become post-training abandonment. You walk out of this training with your certification in hand.

40 Hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credit

The 40-Hour Live Yoga Nidra Teacher Training counts for 40 hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education credit, applicable to your E-RYT or RYT designation.

How the Training Works

We meet July 29–August 2. You can join us in person in Salt Lake City or live via Zoom, your choice. Either way, you receive lifetime access to all recordings.

Early bird registration is open through July 6.

Who This Is For

This training is for yoga teachers, meditation teachers, therapists, coaches, and practitioners who feel the pull toward Yoga Nidra, whether you're new to the practice or returning to deepen your existing skills. It's also for people who've been teaching Yoga Nidra on the side and are ready to stop undercharging and start building something real.

If you're someone who has been wondering how to teach Yoga Nidra professionally, how to structure a Yoga Nidra offering people will pay for, or how to get Yoga Alliance CECs in a format that actually transforms your teaching, this training was built for you.

A Note on the Alumni Rate

If you've already trained with me in the original 30-hour program, live or on Teachable, there's a dedicated alumni page with a refresher rate. The upgrade path is there for you.

The World Needs More Yoga Nidra Teachers Who Stay

There are too many people who completed a teacher training and disappeared. Not because the practice wasn't real to them, but because they weren't given the tools to make it sustainable.

What the world needs are teachers who know how to do this work—and who know how to build a life around doing it.

If you feel the pull, the 40-Hour Live Yoga Nidra Teacher Training is open. Early bird registration closes July 6. We start July 29.
